Pets on Wheels Food Program

Pets are critical to the social and emotional health of many Meals on Wheels clients. They are often the “best friend” of the senior, serving as social worker, counselor, and guardian. For seniors who have few resources, the food they receive from Meals on Wheels may be used to feed a cat or dog before the senior eats.

These fur companions need our help. Place donations of unexpired food and any pet supplies in the decorated pail in the corner of the club. Any food that your animals have shown a dislike for, any leashes, collars, supplies all will be collected and shared among those in need. Please no out-of-date food. Open bags of food will go to the Humane Shelter in Cocoa.
