This is a seven-week class for puppies too old for KPT yet not quite old enough for Beginner Obedience (6 mos. to 1 year old)
Teaching the basics of a well-mannered dog. Using positive lure/reward training, you will learn loose leash walking, sit/down/stand cued positions, stay and leave-it.
This class is for those students who have completed the Novice Scent Class or with Instructor approval. Dogs will continue to work on increasing the search area, the number of hides, and adding elevation.
This is a 7-week class for puppies just beginning their learning adventures (13 weeks to 7 months old)
For teams who have graduated from the Agility 1 class. Content will include sequencing with emphasis on handling techniques and solidifying weave pole and contact equipment performance.
For teams who have completed the Agility FUNdamentals class. Content will include short sequencing with emphasis on building relationship skills, handling techniques, weave poles, and contact equipment.
Fun exercises are designed to enhance understanding and develop confident performance of basic obstacles and the spaces in between.
For the team who is already competing and/or who wants to improve handling skills by training on advanced sequencing.
Introduces the handler and dog to the basics of Rally and how to properly perform any of the 31 novice signs.
Courses will be set up each week for students to practice the different signs. The instructors will work with the students on each sign‘s performance for AKC trials.
Teaches the students how to execute the Rally signs used in the Excellent level of competition. At this level of training the signs must be executed with the dog off-leash and will include 2 jumps.
This class is for those dogs who are new to scent work, and will cover the basic principles of Scent Detection necessary for the dog and handler team to be successful. The class will introduce skills such as odor preparation, search drive, odor obedience, and indication. The primary focus of this class is to establish odor recognition, clear indication, and search behavior. The skills learned in this class will help create a strong foundation to build upon.
This class is for students who have completed Introduction To Scent Work or by Instructor approval, and are ready to apply those skills to learning the basic exercises of element searching. Dogs must understand odor recognition and indication, and have established basic fluency in searching. They will be introduced to the search elements in Scent Work - interiors, exteriors, buried, containers, and vehicles and handler discrimination.

Trick training is a fantastic way to bond with your dog and teach your dog how to focus on you. This is also a wonderful opportunity to hone your training skills before advancing to the next level of classes.
