Practice Makes Pawfect,
east Orlando
This class is designed for dogs over 1 year old whose backgrounds may not be fully known and who may need some extra help. The class syllabus changes with each group of dogs; often with individual dogs working on different things in the same class. While a little less structured than the Basic 1 & 2 classes, this class will also focus on sit, down, walk on a loose leash, leave it and "place" (kennel, crate, mat).
This class is for those that are proficient at Novice Obedience and want to advance to Open Obedience and beyond. Exercises will be customized to the level of the participants.
Teaches the students how to execute the Rally signs used in the Excellent level of competition. At this level of training the signs must be executed with the dog off-leash and will include 2 jumps.
This is a 7-week class for puppies just beginning their learning adventures (13 weeks to 7 months old)
Teaching the basics of a well-mannered dog. Using positive lure/reward training, you will learn loose leash walking, sit/down/stand cued positions, stay and leave-it.
For teams who have completed the Agility FUNdamentals class. Content will include learning how to navigate the agility obstacles (incl weave poles and contact equipment), short sequencing with emphasis on building relationship skills, and handling techniques.
This class is for students who have completed Introduction To Scent Work or by Instructor approval, and are ready to apply those skills to learning the basic exercises of element searching. Dogs must understand odor recognition and indication, and have established basic fluency in searching. They will be introduced to the search elements in Scent Work - interiors, exteriors, buried, containers, and vehicles and handler discrimination.
This class is for those students who have completed the Novice Scent Class or with Instructor approval. Dogs will continue to work on increasing the search area, the number of hides, and adding elevation.
Fun exercises are designed to enhance understanding and develop confident performance of simplified obstacles and the spaces in between.
For teams who have completed the Agility FUNdamentals class. Content will include learning how to navigate the agility obstacles (incl weave poles and contact equipment), short sequencing with emphasis on building relationship skills, and handling techniques.
For teams who have graduated from the Agility 1 class. Content will include sequencing with emphasis on handling techniques and solidifying weave pole and contact equipment performance.
For the team who is already competing and/or who wants to improve handling skills by training on advanced sequencing.

This class will focus on teaching your dog tricks that are fun and useful in general life. Trick training is a fantastic way hone your training skills and bond with your dog.
Courses will be set up each week for students to practice the different signs. The instructors will work with the students on each sign‘s performance for AKC trials.
