Obedience Skills and Drills

GENERAL INFO

Obedience Skills and Drills

This class is designed to provide drills to assist those interested in competition-specific Open through Utility exercises.  The skills and drills will vary each week based on class or individual needs. The class will include ongoing distractions to help dog focus on the exercises required to compete.

Are you working towards an obedience title? Are you looking to fine tune or advance your dog further in obedience?  This class will help you fine tune your performance in the ring. We will work on exercises like straight fronts, fast recalls, stays and focused heeling.  All of these exercises should be fun and use play as a way to motivate and work a dog in drive.

Ideally your dog should have a CGCA or be ready to hit the ring to enjoy this class.  Dog and handler should have adequate skills to perform heeling, sits and downs on command, or approval from the instructor before hand.  Prior to start of class, the instructor can field questions for those interested in taking the class.

WHAT IS REQUIRED TO ATTEND?

DHLPP and Rabies vaccine prior to starting class. We highly recommend the Bordetella vaccine.  You will not be admitted the first day or night of class without proof of vaccinations.
